About the CV Builder

Fill in your details section by section and watch your CV take shape on an A4 page beside the form. Choose the Harvard College template, the reverse-chronological format or a hybrid with a key-skills block. Every format keeps to the layout applicant tracking systems read reliably — one column, standard headings, contact details in the body, real text — and the builder points out what is missing, from a phone country code to results without numbers. Save it as a PDF from the print dialog, or copy the plain text.

How to use it

  1. 1Fill in your contact details, summary, experience, education and skills — or start from the example.
  2. 2Pick the Harvard, reverse-chronological or hybrid format and fix anything the checks flag.
  3. 3Print or save as PDF, download the plain text, or send it straight to the ATS checker.

Questions

Is this CV really ATS-friendly?

The layout follows the parsing guidance that Greenhouse, Workday and resume-parsing tests agree on: a single column, standard section names, no tables, text boxes, icons or skill bars, and contact details in the body rather than a page header. No template can guarantee how every employer's system reads a file, which is why the plain-text export shows exactly what a parser should extract.

Where is my CV saved?

Only in this browser, as you type. Nothing is uploaded to KuponGuru. Clearing your browser data or using another device starts you with an empty form, so download a copy when you finish.

How do I get a PDF?

Press Print or save as PDF and choose Save as PDF as the printer. Turn off the browser's headers and footers so only the CV is on the page.

Which resume format should I choose?

Students and recent graduates usually do best with the Harvard format, which puts education first and gives leadership and activities their own section. With steady work experience, use reverse-chronological — most recent job first, the format parsers handle most reliably. If you are changing careers or returning after a gap, the hybrid format leads with a summary and eight to twelve key skills. A skills-only functional resume is not offered, because it hides dates and parses poorly.
