About the Meta Tag Generator

Questions

How long should a title and a description be?

Google does not publish a limit — it cuts by pixel width, not characters, and often rewrites titles anyway. Titles past roughly 600 pixels on desktop, and descriptions past about 920 pixels on desktop or 680 on mobile, are commonly shortened, so the preview measures your text against those widths as an estimate.

Why is there no robots tag in my HTML?

Search engines assume index, follow when there is no robots tag, so the generator only writes one when you turn indexing or link-following off.

Is my text uploaded or stored?

No. The tool runs in this browser tab. What you paste is never sent to KuponGuru, and it is gone when you close the tab.
