About the Schema Markup Generator

Fill in a short form and get JSON-LD structured data that follows Google's documented required and recommended properties for articles, organizations, local businesses, products, events, breadcrumbs and FAQs. Each field is checked as you type — dates, URLs, prices and currencies — and the generator says plainly when a type will not produce a rich result.

How to use it

  1. 1Choose the kind of page: article, organization, local business, product, event, breadcrumb or FAQ.
  2. 2Fill in the fields and fix anything the checks flag.
  3. 3Copy the script tag into your page, then test the live page in Google's Rich Results Test.

Questions

Why does the FAQ type show a warning?

Google now shows FAQ rich results only for well-known, authoritative government and health websites. FAQ markup is still valid schema.org, but on most sites it will not change how the result looks.

Is HowTo markup supported?

No. Google deprecated HowTo rich results, so the generator does not offer them rather than produce markup that does nothing.

Does adding schema guarantee a rich result?

No. Valid markup makes a page eligible; Google decides whether to show a rich result. The markup must also describe content that is actually visible on the page.
