About the Image Compressor
Drop in photos or screenshots and get smaller files back in seconds. JPGs are re-encoded with MozJPEG and WebPs with libwebp at the quality you choose, and PNGs are optimised without losing a pixel. If an image cannot be made smaller, you get the original back rather than a bigger file.
How to use it

Questions
Why did a PNG only get a little smaller?
PNG is lossless, so the optimiser can only remove redundancy, never detail. Screenshots and flat graphics shrink well; photos saved as PNG rarely do. Converting a photo to WebP or JPG usually makes it far smaller.
Is location data removed from my photos?
Yes, for every image the tool re-encodes: the new file is built from the pixels alone, so camera details, dates and GPS location are not copied across. The one exception is when an original is handed back unchanged because it was already smaller.
Are my images uploaded?
No. The images are processed in this browser tab, using WebAssembly builds of the same open-source encoders Google's Squoosh uses. They never reach KuponGuru's servers, and closing the tab discards them.
