About the Image Cropper

Drag a crop box over your image, or pick a ratio and let it snap to the largest area that fits. Handles resize it, the arrow keys nudge it a pixel at a time, and exact numbers can be typed in. The crop is cut from the full-resolution original, not the preview.

How to use it

  1. 1Drop in an image or paste one from your clipboard.
  2. 2Choose a ratio, then drag the box and its handles — or type exact pixel values.
  3. 3Pick a format and press Crop & download.

Questions

Which ratio should I use for social posts?

1:1 for a square post, 4:5 for an Instagram portrait post, 9:16 for stories and reels, and 1.91:1 for the preview image that appears when a link is shared (1200 × 630 pixels).

Does cropping lower the quality?

The pixels you keep are not resampled. The file is re-encoded when saved, so choose PNG for no loss at all, or a high quality for JPG and WebP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The images are processed in this browser tab, using WebAssembly builds of the same open-source encoders Google's Squoosh uses. They never reach KuponGuru's servers, and closing the tab discards them.
