About the PNG to JPG

JPG is the format almost every form, email and printer accepts, and for photos it is far smaller than PNG. Convert PNGs to JPG at the quality you choose, and pick the colour that fills transparent areas so logos and cut-outs do not end up on black.

How to use it

  1. 1Add one or more PNG files.
  2. 2Choose a quality and a background colour for transparent areas.
  3. 3Convert and download the JPGs.

Questions

Why is my JPG blurry around text?

JPG is designed for photographs and softens sharp edges. For screenshots, text and logos raise the quality to 90 or more — or keep them as PNG or WebP.

What happens to transparency?

JPG cannot store it, so transparent pixels are filled with the background colour you choose. White is the default.

Are my images uploaded?

No. The images are processed in this browser tab, using WebAssembly builds of the same open-source encoders Google's Squoosh uses. They never reach KuponGuru's servers, and closing the tab discards them.
